This tumbler has a checkered pattern, which is known as a good luck pattern in Japan. The three-dimensional form of the tumbler is formed by spatula drawing. The surface is hammered with a rounded hammer more than 40 times in one place to gradually create straight lines, creating a beautiful and tasteful checkered pattern. In this work, two types of hammering, "rough" and "luster", are used to create a matte checkered pattern and a lustrous checkered pattern designed in a gradation from top to bottom. We recommend this sake cup for drinking cold beer or tea.
