This is a work of engobe scraped off. The pattern is applied by freehand. The glaze changes between the scraped off areas and the areas covered with cosmetic mud. Mashiko red powder, the material for persimmon glaze, one of Mashiko's traditional glazes, is used as one of the materials for the glaze.
