Suggesting sake cups as souvenirs for an international conferences 

When Takumi Japan staff learned that an international conference was to be held in China, they suggested Arita ware tenmoku-shaped sake cups as souvenirs for the participants. The suggestion was accepted. 

These cups are very attractive because of their tenmoku shape and "kiln-change" style, in which the color pattern changes depending on the glaze and firing method, and also because there were many different types. 

We received orders for about 100 pieces in 14 different colors and patterns. 

In this article, we would like to share with you some of the pieces we have purchased and the feedback from our customers who have purchased them. 

Various Arita ware sake cups 

Here is a partial list of the 14 types that have been ordered. 

The names of the tenmoku type sake cups in this picture are, from the left in the upper row, "Ultramarine water drop", "Silk Road" and "Oil drop Golden rim" and from the left in the lower row, "Cinnabar", "Tenryuji" and "Cherry Blossom Pattern". 

These works are produced by Arita ware Shinemon Kiln, which skillfully manipulates glazes. Although the shapes of the vessels are the same, each one has a completely different impression. 

Each cup comes with a wooden box, making it a great souvenir or gift.

Enjoy tea with sake cup

Tenmoku is a type of tea bowl of Chinese origin and is very popular among those who are interested ceramics in China. 

Although these pieces were made with the intention of drinking sake, they are suitable for drinking tea and are used as teacups in China. 

Our hope is that people will also have a pleasant tea time with this small sake cup. 

The participants who received the souvenir gifts this time enjoyed wondering what color and pattern they received.
